This is how it all began

Hippocampus OU is a private family owned company incorporated in 2014 in Tallinn Estonia

Our business interests go far beyond music. But music is what was and remains the most important subject of adoration for us. Because music for us is primarily what we love, not what we do business on.
The divisions of our company are successfully working in various sectors of the world business. Our research and development bureau is engaged in the creation of environmentally friendly alternative fuels for internal combustion engines and has already achieved impressive results in this field, which we hope to please the whole world in the near future.
At the same time, we intend to contribute to the global development of the music industry by creating a universal elevator for the rapid career growth of young singers and composers whose work can make our world more beautiful.

Now Hippocampus OU (official website www.music-publishing.eu) is the publishing company (refer hereinafter as the Publisher) which administers and licenses (directly or through the collective management company STIM) copyrights on compositions, texts and arrangements of musical works within all types of use, namely: broadcasting, public performance, mechanical reproduction, concert
activity, adaptations, synchronization of music in advertisements, films, videos, television shows, etc.
Hippocampus OU acts as a music publisher of Iris Yuvelir repertoire and concludes publishing contracts with the authors and the copyrights holder of music, text and arrangement, which the Publisher represents for the territory of Europe and worldwide. Some of the most famous works from the catalog of the Publisher are hits such as ‘Santa Is Busy Bee Tonight’, ‘Is It Yet Christmas’, ‘Christmas Time’, ‘Alchemy of Souls’, ‘Summertime’, ‘Mmm-Mmm’, ‘Captive in the Dark’, ‘Body’, ‘Arms’, ‘Fear’, ‘To Be a Woman’, ‘Sisterhood’, ‘To Reach Your Love’, ‘Wrong Right’, ‘Girls Boom’, ‘Power’, and more to come.

LICENSING OF MUSICAL WORKS
According to the Copyright Law, the use of a musical work is only possible with the prior consent of all copyrights holders. You may seek assistance from Hippocampus OU in licensing the following uses of musical works:
1. Direct Licensing:
• Synchronizations i.e. linking music from the Hippocampus OU catalogue with audio and audio-visual effects and incorporating it into advertisements, films or other audio-visual works;
• Creation, recording and public performance of any kind of adaptations and cover versions of works from the catalog of Hippocampus OU;
• Use in original or overdubbed samples i.e. fragments of works controlled by Hippocampus OU;
• Reproduction and distribution of material media containing works from the Hippocampus OU catalog or adaptations thereof.
2. Licensing through the company for collective management of copyrights – STIM:
• Wireless broadcasting, transmission and retransmission by cable or other technical means and providing Internet access to works from the Hippocampus OU catalog;
• Public performance of works from the repertoire of Hippocampus OU in hotels, restaurants, commercial establishments, shops, etc.;
• Mechanical reproduction and distribution of works from the Hippocampus OU catalog;
• Public performance of music from the Hippocampus OU catalog during concerts and other public vanues.
